Zest will try to be all things to all customers with an
“international, eclectic, upscale comfort food with a twist” menu that will
let parents order caviar, rack of lamb or even meatloaf made with veal and
exotic mushrooms while their children can choose hot dogs or even
traditional meatloaf.
The operation also will stock at least 250 wines and
customers’ favorite drinks even if that’s a low-brow beer or wine.
“We’re targeting a range of consumers, and there has been a
huge resurgence of comfort food,” DiGiovanni said. “But we want the foodies
to have a good time, too.”
