One of Kansas City's favorite and most enduring restaurants is quietly tucked away in the suburb of Prairie Village. Tatsu's French Restaurant has been pleasing patrons for more then 20 years, providing elegant and masterful interpretations of French cuisine in a relaxed and intimate setting.

Chef/owner Tatsu Arai first opened a French pastry and luncheon shop in 1980. Customers soon hungered for more and the menu and hours were expanded to include dinner. Consistently excellent food and warm and gracious service has earned Tatsu's the Zagat's prestigious top 40 award and a ranking as one of the top five restaurants in Kansas City.

"I have been going to this marvelous restaurant for over 20 years, and the food is exactly the same each time: perfectly prepared with delicate sauces in spite of being a French restaurant! The menu offers choices for almost anyone. The service is prompt with personable waitstaff, and although the decor has not been updated for a while, it is still very intimate and romantic and looks like new. This is my favorite restaurant in Kansas City, and top 5 of anywhere in the country!"
