"FOOD: 4 Stars. Cleverly and
perfectly prepared. SERVICE: 4 Stars. EVEN CORRECT CUTLERY SERVICE
AT THE BAR! When most restaurants can’t get this right in an empty
room on a weeknight, I always had a fresh fork. Now that’s what I
call right. ATMOSPHERE: 4 stars. Transported to a wonderful place is
a pretty high assessment, I think. "

"The word, "Wow," is probably the
single word I can use to describe my first, second, and third visits
to Room 39. The menu changes and each meal has been fantastic!
Recommendations from the servers have been excellent and their
attention for all customers has been diligent. Each meal (two
dinners and one lunch) have been fantastic and I am positive the
next will equal or exceed the previous dining adventures. " |

"What a find! We dined here in
mid-September 2007 just after they opened the Johnson County
location. There is certainly a need for a good restaurant in this
area. We live in Lee's Summit, and we frequently tackle a good
meeting ground that is half way between our home and friends and
business associates in Overland Park. Since they serve breakfast,
lunch and dinner, this will now be my top pick!
My husband and I dined here on a Saturday evening to celebrate our
anniversary. I had the steak and lentil soup with creme fraiche
which was superb. The perfect thing for a chilly day. The steak was
very tender and the soup had a wonderful flavor. We split the
heirloom tomato and goat cheese tart for an appetizer. It was also
good.
For an entree I had the scallops and my husband had a special
Italian dish which was flank steak rolled around a sausage filling.
Our dessert choice was chocolate crepes filled with bittersweet
chocolate mousse and topped with hazelnuts and fresh whipped creme.
I wasn't crazy about their bread, as it was very hard, but
everything else was wonderful. The meal was delicious and the
restaurant has a quaint atmosphere. Service was decent.
The wait staff was still new when we dined and I had to ask a couple
of times to have my coffee refilled. An attentive waiter would have
noticed this, but they did refill our water frequently. The menu
here changes daily, and we can't wait to go back! " |
