"This is one of the best restaurants that we have ever been to. We just recently took a trip to San
Francisco while we were there we visited some of the best
restaurants the city had to offer and Le Fou Frog is right up there with the best of them. The food is great and the menu is fun and put together well. The service was the same they make your visit fun and the waiter was very
helpful. The owner stopped by our table to ask if everything was going well. We were both very pleased with our visit and will b going back again soon. " |

"TWhat an incredible place! I was impressed by the charming and intimate ambiance. The service was outstanding and our server was extremely knowledgable. She recommended some spectacular menu items and also recommended the perfect wine to accompany those selections! My husband tried the kangaroo, which was very unique and very tasty! I had the Salmon, which was some of the best salmon I have ever tasted! The presentation of all the menu items was beautiful! This is one place we will definitely go back to! |

"Wonderful presentation on the food but the quality was a little lacking. My veal Marsala was tough and overdone with cheese and sauce. The dessert was a little disappointing. We ordered what the table next to us had received and when we got ours-it was nothing like theirs!! The presentation of the dessert and the fruit around it was nothing at all comparable. That was disappointing. Atmosphere very lively, and bustling." |

"Having been to Le Fou Frog on more than one occasion, I am always excited about the chance to experience their ever changing menu. My last visit left me gushing to others about the experience. Our meal started of course with a perfect amuse bouche, salmon tartar. The flavors were thrilling and left me tingling with anticipation for our next course. The white wine poached scallops in gruyere sauce were delicious. For my entree' I had the Kobe beef and Ahi on Soba noodles with a balsamic reduction. This dish was a culinary
masterpiece. The flavors married together exceptionally well. If you've never had Kobe beef you must do something about it! Words do not do it justice. My friend had the Moulard duck with ancho chiles and cranberries with mango chutney. The duck was perfectly prepared and the chilies, cranberries and mango chutney went very well together. This dish had a very latin flavor, and the portion of duck was impressive. For dessert I had the Tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream. It was lovely! My friend had the chocolate mousse and according to her, it was heavenly! We also ordered a bottle of Little James Basket. It's a 100% Grenache wine and went very well with both our dishes. All of these components made for a very memorable evening! The wait staff is very familiar with the entire menu and were
extremely attentive but not intrusive throughout the entire meal! I will most certainly be back time and time again." |

"Le Fou Frog has always been a favorite dining location for my wife & I -- but this year, as we dined for our 5th anniversary, the staff outdid themselves.
My wife and I had both had respectively awful days (I had a car broken into and items stolen, for starters), so we made it a point to have a great dinner, and the restaurant folks really did a great job of lifting our spirits so we could enjoy our special day.
Our waiter, Jean Pierre, was entertaining as always, and his recommendations were spot-on. Every member of the wait staff that visited our table came with a smile and a laugh, which is exactly what we needed that day. To top it all off, Mano, the owner, was kind enough to send us home with a bottle of champagne, gratis. In terms of food, ambiance and outstanding service, this is the high-water mark in KC dining. "

"The room was a little dirty looking and less elegant than I expected. The staff worked hard to serve us well but it was distasteful to see them smoking 20 ft away at the bar while we ate. The food was very good though and they had a nice selection to choose from.

"I've never been impressed
with Le Fou Frog, but on this last visit, I was really pleased. The
food was fresh and for once, hot and adequate portions. The service
as well was snappy, helpful and very thoughtful and personable. I
had almost lost hope, despite many rave reviews, but now I'd go back
eagerly for another good bistro meal!"
