Restaurant Guide Review for February
The American Restaurant
"Our menu changes daily but our standards never do."
Rated as number 57 in the United States.
Since it's inception in 1974, The
American Restaurant has lived up to its name. This 4 Star, 4 Diamond restaurant
is not only known
for its great location, it boasts an outstanding Art Deco
décor, impeccable service and first class quality in food presentation and
palatability.
The view from any part of the restaurant affords you a glorious
panorama of the city.
Whether you only have time for a one
hour lunch or a 4 hour dinner, you will be treated like royalty from the minute
that you arrive.
(When was the last time that a member of the wait staff placed
your napkin on your lap?)
The service is the absolutely the finest there is.
An added amenity is that all meals may
be "created" by choosing something from the different categories or by selecting
course options.
For example during the lunch hour, one may select "The American
Value” which includes any three courses for a set price.
Dinners are paired in
2 to 5 course options for a set price.
Chef Celina Tio may be small but she is
a giant in the kitchen. Jamie Jamison is not only an outstanding General
Manager, his wine selections are first class.
Colleen Plattner, as Sales
Manager, will help with event planning for small groups to renting the entire
restaurant.
There are 3 dining areas that can accommodate from small parties to up to 90 guests.

The Drop
Martini Corner has a new place to go.
The Drop, a bar and bistro has recently opened and is very competitive
in the
area. For starts, its kitchen doesn't close until midnight 7 days a week. That
is important for after event gatherings.
Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11 to 7.
Josh Eans has been creative in putting
together some amazing bruschetta combinations.
For example he combines a sweet
pepper with salami slices and roasted garlic with oven dried tomatoes.
"Drop" in to The Drop for a great experience.
