Aixois is a neighborhood restaurant in the Crestwood shops at the corner of 55th and Brookside Boulevard. Stopping in for a glass of wine after an evening walk on the trolley trail or for a fine meal before a performance at the Missouri Rep, diners enjoy a bustling, casual atmosphere in the dimly lit dining area where broad windows look out on the activity of Brookside. Weather permitting, the covered patio is the place to be.
Since the day it opened, Aixois' coffee bar has served as the hub of this Brookside neighborhood--a cafe that serves a full range of coffee drinks featuring La Minita coffee and Danesi imported espresso beans. French pasteries including plain and filled croissants, pain au raisin and a variety of scones are delivered fresh each morning to compliment your coffee and take the edge off your hunger.
With plenty of space for small groups to meet, consider using Aixois for your next morning gathering. Both kid and dog friendly, Aixios Coffee Bar is the perfect place to meet friends or to make new ones.

Atmosphere "Fantastic! Like a trip to Paris right here in KC. The food was not only delicious, but the presentation was very nice and the portions were generous. Everything could not have been better!"

Atmosphere "I have had breakfast at Aixois for 2 days in a row. On the first day, I had a lovely pan au raisin and good hot coffee. My breakfast was spoiled by the unrelenting entry through the front door of dogs, dogs, dogs, which are apparently (and possibly unlawfully?) welcome at Aixois. I also noticed a marked tendency to be extremely friendly to regulars and somewhat dismissive of strangers. I recommend that if you want to breakfast here, you build up to it by ordering coffee for a week or two in a row, and getting to know the staff. I suspect that will enhance your potential for good food and consistently good service. "

Atmosphere "I have dined at Aixois a number of times. Most recently, we popped in later in the evening just for dessert and wine to celebrate a birthday. It was wonderful! Aixois has a small, but excellent dessert menu, and is worth visiting for that alone. For a reasonably price bottle of wine to share, go for the Cote du Rhone "Cellier Dauphine."

Atmosphere "We have now eaten at Aixois several times, and each meal has been fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy (we went for a romantic dinner once, and another time with a group including our 1-year old); service is attentive and gracious; food is varied and delicious. Aixois feels like a neighborhood restaurant with exquisite cuisine. Great wine list, beautiful patio, off the beaten path."
